Wandering line glitches look like a meandering line at high frequencies. They can be caused by motors (such as vacuum pumps) that do not have fixed frequencies, or by beats between higher frequency signals that have some frequency variation. Multiple wandering lines can be present at the same time but at different frequencies.
Cause:
Potentially related to a very slowly changing whistle / radio frequency beat, or equipment that does not operate at a fixed frequency. Examples from the fourth observing run (O4) in the Hanford detector were probably caused by a variable-speed fan in an electronics room when an air-conditioning chiller had malfunctioned.
