Tomtes are lower-frequency blip-like glitches that are usually triangular and look like the hat that a garden gnome would wear. The cause of tomte glitches is not yet fully understood, but they may be related to mechanical vibrations in the LIGO mirrors or the suspension system. You can read more here: link
