Koi fish glitches are similar to blip glitches, but they resemble a fish with the head at the low frequency end of the plot, pectoral fins around 30-60Hz, and a thin tail reaching up beyond 256Hz, sometimes with rear fins attached. Perhaps they are a sub-class of blip glitches. LIGO scientists do not understand the physical origin of the blips or the koi fish.
