Description:
High Frequency Bursts are short-duration, blip-like glitches that occur at frequencies greater than ~1000 Hz.
Cause:
A large number of these glitches were caused at LIGO-Livingston during O3a by malfunctions of a control loop in the squeezer subsystem. Sporadic similar-looking glitches caused in other unknown ways have been appearing at other times.
Status:
Active.
