¶ 1080 Line
Particularly at Hanford during Observing Run 2 (O2) there has been a steady stream of glitches around the frequency of 1080 Hz. These appear in Gravity Spy images as a string of short yellow dots, sometimes connected to form a line, and sometimes more sparse, always around 1080Hz. For more technical details about 1080Hz glitches, see Hanford electronic logbook entry 33104. The outcome of those studies is that the glitches were greatly reduced after a configuration change was made to increase the gain of a control loop for the output mode cleaner's length. This change took place on January 14, 2017. However, there may still be weak 1080Hz glitches after that time.
